Mindful Communication: Speaking and Listening with Awareness Workshop

Effective communication in the workplace involves not just verbal expression but also active listening and emotional awareness. Mindful communication allows us to create deep and meaningful connections with ourselves and our colleagues by speaking and listening with awareness. It also helps us become aware of our intentions while speaking and listening and the impact of our words and reactions on workplace relationships.
This 2-week online workshop equips participants with the skills and techniques needed to bring greater awareness to the two core components of communication: listening and speaking. Participants will have the opportunity to integrate these skills into their work lives through practical exercises.
This workshop supports employees in developing more effective communication skills, expressing themselves with awareness, and increasing their job satisfaction. At an organizational level, it helps reduce workplace conflicts, increase trust and collaboration, and foster a productive, respectful, and positive work culture based on openness and respect.
What to expect from this workshop?
This workshop helps participants,
Develop self-awareness skills:
Participants learn to adopt a more aware, non-judgmental, and compassionate approach in their communication with themselves and their teammates. This strengthens emotional resilience, fostering more inclusive, healthy, and trust-based relationships in the workplace.
Gain awareness of their speaking and listening habits:
It assists participants in skillfully choosing when to speak, when to stay silent, and how to communicate. It also enhances their active listening skills, supporting them in “saying what needs to be said and hearing what needs to be heard.”
Notice distractions during communication:
It enables participants to become aware of the “obstacles and blocks” that distract them during speaking and listening, and teaches them how to skillfully manage these. This skill helps them remain clearer and more focused in every communication setting, from team meetings to one-on-one conversations.
Strengthen listening skills with patience and empathy:
The practice of listening without judgment contributes to building trust in communication and enhancing team harmony. Participants begin to develop the ability to approach different perspectives with empathy and appreciation. This reduces misunderstandings among team members and contributes to creating an open and supportive workplace culture.
Encourage conscious responses in challenging communication situations:
It helps participants maintain emotional balance during difficult communication moments, supporting them in developing conscious and effective responses instead of impulsive reactions.
